¡Hola a todos los aprendices de brujo!

¡Vamos con el sexto y último finalista!

José Luis Tejo nos presenta “El Gran Espíritu Protector” que supone todo un cambio en el papel que desempeña el león. En general, casi todas las propuestas han ido encaminadas a presentar a un león ávido de avestruces. Sin embargo, en esta propuesta, se presenta un león muy distinto ya que la ficha de león representará a un espíritu que concede coraje y valor sobrenaturales.

Durante la preparación, el jugador más joven colocará la ficha en cualquier casilla (incluyendo roca, arenas movedizas o baya) dentro de las cinco primeras filas. Los avestruces podrán entrar en esta casilla y activar el efecto “El Gran Espíritu Protector” (eso sí, si se encontraba sobre una baya o arenas movedizas, no se activarán ni la baya ni las arenas movedizas).

Cuando se active este efecto, coloca el león por su lado activo encima de la ficha de avestruz de tal modo que pueda verse el color del avestruz. ¿Cuál es el efecto? El león, como un espíritu, acompañará al avestruz y además lo protegerá de un resultado de embrujo.

¿Qué ocurre si el avestruz es embrujado? El avestruz ignora el embrujo, pero la protección concedida por el león es desactivada, coloca el león debajo del avestruz por su lado inactivo. A partir de entonces, el avestruz sigue solo su camino y el espíritu estará disponible para otros avestruces que entren en la casilla (o salten sobre el avestruz con el león inactivo). ¡Atención! Eso no significa que este avestruz no pueda volver a ser protegido por el león, pero el león siempre debe proteger a otro avestruz previamente.

¿Qué ocurre si el avestruz protegido por el león cruza la línea de meta? Opcionalmente, otorgará 1 Punto de Victoria adicional (para marcar este efecto, voltea la ficha del avestruz por su lado "embrujado"). Entonces, el gran espíritu, siempre bondadoso, pasará a proteger a otro avestruz (el que decida el aspirante a brujo), colocando el león por su lado activo.

Let's go with our last finalist!

José Luis Tejo introduces “The Great Protective Spirit” proposal which supposes a real change in the lion role. In general, almost all the proposals have introduced an eager for ostriches lion. In this proposal, the lion is very different however, because this token represents an Spirit which gives supernatural courage and bravery.  

During setup, the youngest player has to place the lion token in any space (including rock, quicksand or berry) inside the first five rows of spaces. An ostrich can enter the space occupied by lion to activate “The Great Protective Spirit” (although, if lion is over a berry or quicksand, these ones are not activated).

When this effect is active, place the lion over the ostrich token, so the ostrich colour could be seen by any player. But, which is the effect? The lion, as a spirit, will go with the ostrich and he will protect the ostrich from a spell.

What does it happen if the ostrich with the lion is spelled? The ostrich ignores the spell, but the protection given by the lion is deactivated. Place the lion under the ostrich by his inactive side. From then on, the ostrich continues alone and the spirit will be available for other ostriches which enter the space (or jump over the ostrich with the inactive lion). Attention! It doesn't mean that lion couldn't protect the ostrich more than one time, but lion has to protect another ostrich first.

What does it happen if a protected ostrich crosses the Finish line? As an option, the lion could give 1 additional Victory Point to that ostrich (to show this effect, flip the ostrich token by the spelled side). Then, the great spirit, always kindly, will protect another ostrich (the one which decides the sorcerer apprentice), placing the lion by his active side.
